So people understand the rules as it has been confusing over the last few years
Lots of rain out west today .. that helps .
But a long hot spell in the forecast ahead .
https://albertafirebans.ca/Not in our area ..it's still retry wet actually..
1.75 inchs
I hope people take the ban (and the reason for it) to heart and leave the ORV's at home. Don't bring them to BC just because you can't use them there, the conditions here are even worse.
My family has a cabin north West of Athabasca. We had a storm hit Sunday morning at about 5am that dumped 1.6" of rain in under an hour. The lake is up 3-4 vertical feet this year.Another storm rolling through Brazeau county tonight and through most of tomorrow. Not gonna stop me and the boy from getting a good ride in and doing some more of the trail clean up we couldn't finish last time our. Hopefully the rest of the province starts getting its share of this rain and reduce all the fire risks! We had initially planned a trip to crowsnest pass for the first couple weeks of August but glad we didn't now.
I am south of Rocky/ west of Caroline now. Beautiful campfire evening yesterday, rained quite a bit over night. Doubt there will be any bans around here. Mud today!
OHV ban now on in parts of BC including southern corner including Cranbrook/Fernie/ Sparwood and Elkford
