Sounds like your all winded there? Gotta like when your getting stuck going down hill.
How do you like the new ride so far?
Looks like we are shutting down this Thursday afternoon for the big break.

See yah soon for some riding.

Ya... out of breath because i started packing snow and then realized i had no pictures of the snow and how deep it was. And ya... stuck going downhill is a good day.
New ride is unbelievable - an amazing sled.
Should get about 10 days out there over x-mas break - will see you there for sure.

Great day on the hill. First trip out and I don't know if it can get any better. Arrived 8am after driving thru night. Only one car on its roof and one semi nose first down the embankment. Lots of powder is an understatement. Visibility was off and on but overall not bad considering it snowed all day. We played along the trail finally making it to the cabin by 2:30. We stayed around the cabin the rest of the day and never ran out of powder to play in. At times snow was armpit deep but mostly we just pushed it with our headlights. The snow is setting up well and we could often walk the sled out of a stuck with one or two people on the ski tips..unless you count the time sunk it 7-8 feet down in the creek bottom by the cabin. Thank goodness for the snobunje. Slingshoted out in less than 2 minutes work.

5" of snow on the truck when we got back. Can't wait until tomorrow.

Blasted to the cabin early Yesterday, started a fire and chopped some wood. Stacey and I grabbed 5 others who needed an adventure and headed back to Superbowl and on to Sugarbowl and some awesome tree ridng along the way. Crappy viss but we trudged on. Trails were well groomed on the kirkup and riding is from the parking lot now with one of the best starts to the season in a long time.

"EXTREME DEEP POWDER WARNING FOR REVY"
The likely hood of the following should be considered before heading out into the back country around Revelstoke this holiday season.
- Getting stuck and digging for most of the day.
- If not you, digging out the guy your riding with.
- Freezing your thumb cause you can't get off the throttle.
- Running out of gas cause you didn't get off the throttle.
- Hitting a tree (same as above).
- Over reving your engine cause you went to clicker 6.
- Went into a tree well cause you thought it was a good line.
- Decided it was a good time to break in your new sled..."NOT".
- You will bring your radio's and GPS next time..."BAD MOVE".
- You can't wipe the frozen smile off your face.
- The wife gets a call your not coming home."Give her your best BS line".
- The heli costs were more than your booze bill.
- Riding deep powder is harder than it looks.
- Remember to duct tape your pants to the boots.
- Don't forget the lead dog if you left it to late coming home.
- And last, If you are going to take a short cut after dark with Jack,..."DON'T".

Have a Merry Christmas and safe Holiday ride.

After a great day of powder riding the best way out is the shortcut, mostly because you're not ready to call it a day and the short cut ensures more fun. Very rarely is it shorter ]

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
My wife and I rode Boulder today, and what a great day it was. After kind of a late start this morning due to visiting with some great folks down at Rough Country, we were greeted with a whole lot of un-tracked snow past the normal hangouts. Made it back as far as the lakes and it looked like only a couple few riders had gone further. We rode out in the dark, what a great way to kick off the holidays with a great ride with Greg and Brad yesterday, to a 'bluebird day' today. if I can figure out how to post pics from my phone I will.
Cheers!

They post the grooming reports on the above blog. It shows a few inches of snow and overall 10.5ft base at both Frisby and Boulder.

Incredible busy. Not a room to be had anywhere in town and all parking lots full by 10 in the morning.
Snowed a little last night but nothing to write home about.
Groomers have been out during the day doing a fantastic job upkeeping the trails.
Popular areas tracked out but still incredible snow in the secret spots.
