Has anyone been over Fording? is it worth the trip?
Trail in up until after the moon isn't so hot but definitely snow after that... Just no base.

Hey guys what’s going in the Cataract area? Not hearing to much in regards to snow condition and grooming.
Is there enough snow and has there been any grooming going on out there?

Just to give all you riders checking this out a update. The Calgary Club is working on our OHS stuff still. We are continuing to move forward but it is a work in progress. We are trying best we can. For those who have supported us by buying a trailpass we will be using those funds to continue to improve the area both in the summer and winter. Lots to do out there we just need to get our access again allowed. Stick with us and together we will get back out there soon.

Any updates on Fording since ‘the trench’ episode? Anyone going back there or not worth the bad coverage on the way in...

I was out Saturday and took a look at the Fording Pass Trail, coverage for the first 2-3 km was brutal (lots of no snow gravel stretches) before i turned around.

Hopefully Yesterday's snow helped.

Enough packed snow on the trails for a ride out there, some bare patches here and there where there is lots of sun exposure but I wouldn't hesitate to go for a trail blast if that's your cup of tea. Area was getting dumped on when I left this afternoon which will help. No grooming out there yet from what I can see I presume due to the OH&S the club is developing but the trails are decent so far regarding chop.

Not sure on Fording as I didn't head out that way this weekend but did cover the NE/NW/SE portions the trails which had pretty good coverage. Cutovers were not buried. Fields still have grass poking through the 4-6 inches of snow with no base they have on them.

If you're looking for deep snow you'll have to suffer the 5-6km of no snow and rock to get into Fording, or go somewhere else... Unless that trail has changed significantly since I was there a few weeks ago...

Tucker_98, Did you stage out of Etherington or Cataract parking lots?

A little birdie told me that he was out at the Cataract Creek parking lot going for a ride yesterday/Saturday, and it was only -12'ish. Snow is still a little thin, but better in the last week. Said there was a number of people out sledding on the trails.
