Mother Nature had a little surprise today............................30 cm of fresh and no rain at the top. It was just a great day.

As far as I know, they had heard the snow wasn't that great so decided not to come. Sure missed a great day today.

There is definitely snow out there..... We rode the last 3 days un-touched all day. We dropped into the notch and went way back..... Snow was awesome yesterday and the deeper we went the better it got.

The Notch is a great place! Nice open trees, sweet climbs, and lots of untracked.

Not untracked all day but most of the day..................the snow was awesome and once again, a surprise considering all the traffic with the Alberta/Saskatchewan Family Day holiday.

Another local story that I can't find the history of, is this name carved on a litchen laden dead tree. I found it when I was marking out the Family Friendly trail in between the Wrangler's Cabin and the Rolling Hills cabin. It has become known as the "Ole Meadows" in some circles.
