the only price i've seen is $45 per gallon of the Klotz which is good price for 9 gallons of fuel. any dealer in ab or eastern bc.?

i may be wrong not sure but the torco accelerator may be close to the same thing, should cost about $16 for about 9 gallons. guess i should see what the stuff is made of. 8 oz in 5 gallons of reg 87 octane gives a 95 octane rating. could be Dave B's secret mixture though.

i'm thinking it is a sales gimmick, and i don't think i'd be betting my money agaisnt klotz octane mixes. think they have been in the racing end of things lot loneger than u or i have been alive.

besides i'm not thinking dragn is looking for race fuel, just looking to up the octane of regular gas. besides i'd be using av 100ll long before any race gas on a stock sled.

i ran 100ll for years. when i was out one weekend i ran some renegade fuel. holy. what an improvement it made. i havent been back to 100ll since. same deal in buddies apex turbo. his lowend bog was gone and it was like he turned the boost up. made that big of a difference.

thanks, i got a tank of bad premium last year and threw a detonation code, just about crapped. so i started mixing 60/40 premium and 100ll. just to be safe. mixing gas is a pain.

If you haven't already....
Do yourself a favour, Change out your pistons. A few hundred dollars is a lot cheaper than a new one of those motors. If a piston skirt goes, it's game over for your bottom end.
Just sayin.

I always buy Shell 91 and have also added the Amsoil octane boost. Not lookng for octane levels just want to make sure that whats coming outta edmonton
is what it says on the pump! LOL Stuff is expensive though, $14 a bottle. Anyone else use the Amsoil stuff or is it junk or??

i haven't added that type of octane boost as it adds only a few percentage points, a gallon of av 100ll would raise the octane more and be less money to boot.

i sure try to find the busiest gas station for the freshest gas. although how much premium they turn over is anyones guess. usually ask at the counter but still a big chance.

It's never a big worry for me in Calgary. With all those oil folk driving their German cars, they go through plenty of premium fuel. I always fill up a couple jerry cans when going to the mountains, so I can fill my sled with those. Plus I avoid BC prices on the fuel.

I don't live in town and ride from my house a lot. We generally always head west and do 100km + round trips. The only gas station out that way does not sell premium. I always carry a bottle of octane boost incase I have to fill up. Dump it in and it seems to run fine with no premium code coming up.
