Well the build has officially started one could say ...
Time to peel the skin off and check out the bones .
Go through the drive line first & see what's what. .

Then into motor &
trans a little deeper ...
A big shoutout to Hooked up racing for helping take on this task .. And some much needed input , as well.
Plans are to keep the 392 engine & possibly go EFI and bore stroke and blueprint the engine if all looks good , after initial inspection. The attached link has had some amazing success with 392's..

though slow , the ball is rolling forward ....

Well found a great donor truck , as it looks like the body on mine is just to worn out ...
So we will put 3/4 running gear out of mine in to this 1974 1/2 SHORT box .
34000 miles .. X forestry truck.
Very , very rare truck !
Lots of work ahead ...
But there won't be many like it , that's for sure

Didn't read the whole thread but thought I could help on two small details. #1 It's called a Corn Binder #2 The best engine made by International was the 304 c/w Holley 2V and OEM high rise manifold. Toque monster that powered thousands of medium duty trucks. Indestructible and huge power for the era.
