so i put a new map on my commander trying to get rid of a 6400rpm bog, check over my sled getting ready for a trip, night before the trip, i fired the sled up and 2nd pull it started, dya of the trip started 2nd pull to load on the truck, drove to where we were sledding, went to unload, and it wouldnt start, it barely fired and then that was it i could pull and pull and pull and nothing, so we check the plugs and they were wet, checked for spark and nothing, so thought maybe it was the volatage regulator, and i bought the updated one and kept it in my handlebar bag just incase mine ever died, so i put the new one and it started but war barely idliing and wanted to die, the bogging was so bad i couldnt ride, so i decided to check my plugs and they where as white as snow, so i decided to pull my pc5 off and put in new plugs, and it ran fine allll day and then today as well, so was my problem the commander? or was it the voltage regulator?

was most likely the comander. it was probably loading the sled up with fuel when it was really cold and fouling the plugs. I know when mine is sitting and idling warming up there is unburnt gas coming out of the exhaust. also make sure your throttle cable freeplay is tight enough. could have been part of the trouble.

usually if the voltage regulator is bad the sled will still start and idle for a while before it shuts off. When you push on your throttle there is a bit of play in it before it pulls on the cable. The play in it should be just enough so you can slide the end of a zip tie between the throttle and the shut off switch. If its more follow the throttle cable till you get to the boot and under the boot is where you can tighten it.
