somewhat lame doo, I would of though a 900 or 1000 two stroke for sure, then maybe a belt drive over chain option... maybe a 174 track option..... or better yet a stock turbo 800... nothing I see here to knock me off the 880 yet

Yes you can get this already and really if ski doo added all that stuff would you pay 21,000 for a turbo, belt drive etc. 1% might and 49% of sales would disappear. and the 1% of the market that wants this of that .5% would complain that doo used x brand and not y brand and if we did use y brand the other .5% would complain that we used y brand over x brand.

I said this in another post, don't tell ski-doo the solution, tell them the problem you are having with your sled, those are the things that get fixed! Why do you need a turbo? what is the sled not doing for you to need a turbo, why do you need a belt drive?

The vast majority of the people who sled want pull and go, they work 5 days a week, hard, then have kids and a wife and when saturday rolls around they want to pull and go, not fiddle with belt drives, turbos and other stuff that needs constant tweeking. For the rad guys and gals out there, you know what you want and it is all there for you to add, but it comes with a price from the dealer or the aftermarket, and for those who think it should be cheaper through a manufacture/dealer then time to take business 101. Aftermarket companies work super hard to bring great components to the market for the rad sledders who need more...it is like that in every sport.

I love that one person said they heard there was 1000 e-tec, forget when i first saw it, but then it got passed along so much that now people are actually disappointed in something that was never on the table, also the 900 ace may not be for you but the technology of that sled is insane and will just get bigger and better!!!

Yeah I missed my partner in crime, Steph Schwartz but she was busy slaying the deep pow in Whistler instead of being indoors like I was....I know I am no eye candy so i will try to get her back for 2015 reveal!!! happy riding! dave

haha! PERFECT DAVE! i wish i could organize my thoughts into words that well. your BANG on. i want nothing to do with a turbo, bigbore, supercharger, 3" track. been there done that i am having WAYWAY to much fun on my bone stock etec 163 800. its called fun factor. focus your energy on different styles of riding and you quickly realize that being towed back to the truck, wrenching on your sled in the trailer all night, and calling around like a madman for parts to make the trip are no longer worth it.

i would sure hope so. but i doubt you will see it on these first 2014 prototypes as they would have already been built before this issue was surfacing. production models though forsure and im curious to see what they do abiout it

2014 prototypes?? Do they put the BNG through extensive field testing? :d

New models look good. I really didnt expect them to change much. Would have been nice if they would have lost a little wieght though.

So for someone who has never snochecked a sled.......what is the advantage? I see you can get 3 years warranty, with an option of another year warranty, a wrap, or electric start. How much warranty does an in season sled come with these days? I know the shocks are rebuildable, but ill be putting aftermarket on anyways so that doesnt matter. Any other reason to snowcheck an X?

the X package is only avaiable at snow check,, so those colors red/white black/red or black/green trim are pre orders. as well I think it gets tapered bars (2013 anyways) the shocks and then one of the 3 freebies you mentioned thats it, but the same price pretty much as a non x pre order... did that make sense lol

mostly the colors and a few goodies no charge... Im sure a few others may no more details then me tho

This! Well said.

Oh, and is it me or are they offering less and less every year with the X model (or more and more with the in season model)? The 2012 got the kyb shocks, upgraded X seat, tapered bars, upgraded gauges, and colours (obviously). Not alot less now as most of the perks are stock, but it would be nice to get more than a couple small differences and shiny colours.

Looks like you got caught up with the hype...

Fred it wouldn't matter what they do, you wouldn't be happy, you are riding a turbo CF, so no wonder you are bored...

Your friends, like to mod their sleds, I am betting they enjoy doing the modding jst as much as they like to ride, or pull wrenches on the hill.

Do had the industry leading 40% of sled sales in 2013, and probably will exceed that in 2014.

I say let the aftermarket industry thrive too.:thumb:

I wasnt expecting a factory turbo 2stroke, that will never happen.Lots of after market options there any ways.

One thing they should offer is the kyb40's on the 163summit x.

What the stock sled wont do, is pull the same lines as a good running turbo sled in deep powder on steep inclines.Cant get the same rate off speed uphill in powder.

I can say one thing that the XM has over a modded sled Fred. I have rode mine everyday I've gone riding this year. Can you say the same? Just sayin.....
