I'm looking for info on where to go in the valemount area as I'm new to mountain riding I was thinking about getting a guide for our group the first day or two. I will be riding with some people that have gone before but don't have a lot of mountain experience but we will all have avalanche courses before we go but most of us will be new to the mountains. If anyone has any good info on some good guide services out that way it would be muchly appreciated thanks in advance.

I would like to add I'm not looking for anything to crazy for riding would just like some good deep snow riding and for all of us to learn about riding in the moutains and awareness for hazards out there. We will also most likeley be renting avalanche gear the first few times.

Sounds like you got it planned out right. When you're ready to go sleddin, make a post in the Valemount riding section.

I'm sure there are people on here that would be glad to show some new sledders the ropes. I've met quite a few riders from this site and snowest and they were happy to have another person come along.

If you would like to learn to ride better look into taking the ride with Rasumessen course in January. What better way to learn that by a factory sponsored rider.
