Off #1 highway where would you people suggest? Never ride'n area but are looking to try it out before heading on

Quartz creek if you want something off hwy1. About 40km west of Golden. Groomed trail and a cabin to warm up in. There is a small blue snowmobile sign on the hwy where you turn off, parking lot is off to the left if you leave from Golden.
