Well, considering of buying a new sled and selling old trusty tractor

Not sure what ta buy, doo 8****ty, alpha, poo poo ??

What track length?? , have a 174 now, don't need it most days it seems, but sure is nice on deep days.... 165-174 175??

Have you spent much time on the Alphas? I can’t say I am a fan of them at all and damn they feel heavy in the snow.

I can’t imagine you on anything but a Doo these days and honestly the G4’s are decent enough. 165 expert I think would put you right at home but for your used to the 174 so a 175 isn’t going to feel worse in an updated sled that’s for sure.

If not buying a stock turbo doo I would be looking for a 165” expert personally. As far as the 163 174 debate goes. I have put 4000 km on a 163 t3. My dad rides a 174 t3. The 175 g4 in our group feels more like my 163 then my dads 174. The G4 chassis helps some how.

Not Sure
Seen a nice new old stock 19 doo X 165 3inch sitting on the showroom floor today. Tag on the handlebar was to high in My opinion. I gazed at it for a while and no one came to try and sell it to me so I left and went next door for lunch lol.

Nice sled...I bet Ken could get you a good price

Ski-boom all the way just start saving for a track as they fall apart. Get a snow flap for the hard pack trails help the overheat. Cat is nicer to ride but junk to own as they just cant make a reliable mtn sled. Poo might work this year but i would never buy one . 4 blown Polaris motor s is enough for me

how many KM on your current sled and how does its reliability stack up against your group. Decision should be easy in that sense. every brand has its ups and downs.

So what about kanedog's clutching research regarding the AC models?? Was he just blowing smoke? Aren't they a time bomb waiting to disintegrate?

Banner pretty well has this area locked down solid and I have heard that would be a tough choice for Jeffa.

I can't see a Polaris fitting in the barn out at Cambi. There is always the Alberta route or Courtney to keep the DooLaide flowing.

165 is a nice all around track and the Experts sure have the torque. Good luck with your decision bud.

165 Turbo doo. Lets face it you ride the Deepest snow in BC and those things make you grin ear to ear.
I road one for a bit one day last year

Ya it was sweet, but could see myself hurting me lol, you would have to ride it skis indaairallday lol

Plus it's a extra big chunk of change compared to a say 20 left over

Some choose to ride 2 stroke, others choose to be men. Get a Turbo Yamaha

Out of all honesty the Polaris’s are crazy light and easy to get into. Lots of dealers are blowing the 800’s out but you can find some good deals on 850’s
Light yes

Too light, in areas yes

Steering is all kinds of fawked up, and I would eat alot, I mean alot of crow if I bought a po po

After a couple Doo 175's I went with the Expert 165 last year and really liked it as I started riding faster and more aggressively in tighter trees. Only really missed the 175 a few days but liked the extra maneuverability of the 165 everyday. Half of our group rides the Polaris 850's and now with the updated ECU flash they work well. Lots of spark plug changing before. I love SHOT and ease of initiating a side hill with my Doo's as it saves my shoulders. The Polaris are a little harder to initiate but more precise so really personal preference and dealer support IMO. Good luck and enjoy!
Thanks Jim
