New Phazers

what do think of a new Phazer long track...I dont like then open frt.,like wind protection,,BUT also like the lightweight idea...was trying to find a RX-1 ..but son says nope..too heavy.I have been sledding since 66,had a new one every year since my first new 71 Elan..but cant take the stink of the 2 stroke exhaust anymore...

My buddy and I got new sleds this year I got the Nytro mtx and he got the phazer mtx. He is only about 140 lbs and the thing goes good with him on it.Is it for you or your son?
The sled rolled down a 100ft hill in 4ft of power stoped only by a tree, we spent about an hour to get it out, it fired right up, only a small crack in the windshield. We found that the only problem with the 4 stroke is if it is on its side or upside down for any lengh of time it will drain oil out in the air box. other than that verry good sled.

If your rider is over 170 lbs get the dealer to "upsize" the springs as part of the deal or u will be bottoming it out, having that problem with the nytro.

I bought one for the Wife and she loves it (mountain model)! Is it a BIG hill climber....nope! Is it fun to ride.....yes! Is it heavy....yes (but masks it well when your riding it)! It does everthing that she asks of it and more. I've even doubled-up on it to take her out through the meadows and small hills in 12"+ of powder with no problem. If your lookin' for a gas and go sled that has the ease of key start, no oil mixing/smell, and is fun to ride but is a bit underpowered compared to other 600cc machines. More like a 500cc machine with the torque of the 600cc. I say it all depends on what your lookin' for. Good luck and happy sledding with what ever you buy!
P.S. I've yet to find ANY sled that is light when stuck!!

yah, it's really quiet, i rode one all last year, it was really fun in deep powder, bcuz i could get it up on one ski, no problem, but then again i am only 80 pounds (11 years old) but it was a really fun sled

Just picked up a 2007 Phazer 500 Mtn Lite for my wife, I think the key thing there is,..... its for my wife. It sure is lacking the power of the 800r, but it is only 80 hp, and she will have loads of fun on it. LOVE THE EFI 4STROKE !!!! Its hassel free, and I don't have to go over and start her sled for her anymore, .......I still do, ......I just dont HAVE to.

I was at the dealer, and there is about 5 updates out on this thing, and the steering has lots of play it it, they tell me its normal, but it sure feels odd.

my grandparents have 2, very different than their 2001 summit 600's, tipier, but they like the low down power and how easy it is to climb out of trouble. We have yet to take them to the mountains, we are going in 2 weeks. If they find them low on power my grandpa plans to supercharge one of them possibly.
I talked to a dealer yesterday and he said the turbo kits loss too much bottom end power since the head spacer drops the compression so low throttle has no power.

I have a 07 phazer and your all right, it is a dog, but when i put that supercharger and pipe on it it this year it shot to 140 plus horse on the dyno and it now climbs right beside the nytro and even past in some situations. It added 10 pounds but i lost 8 pounds with the pipe so were pretty much all square. Next year its getting stiffer rear springs, and fox floats for the front.

Sometimes a deal is just too good to pass up, besides, every other recreation vehicle I've ever owned over the last 20 years has been Yamaha, 200 Trike, 225 trike, 200 quad, 200 Blaster, 350 Wolverine, 450 Kodiak, 660 Raptor, 450 YFZ, 660 Rhino, 2400 watt Inverter, and even a 670 Waverunner back in the 90's ALL YAMAHA, AND ALL EXCELLENT MACHINES, never had any trouble with them.

The real question here is why did I buy an 800 Summit for myself, and thats only because we ride mountains alot, and most would agree that the Doo's are king of the hill.

I got a good deal on an '07 Phazer Mountain Lite. I love it, but I am new to serious riding. It was good in the powder around Swan Hills this year. A few people who rode 800's and 1000's were impressed by the feel. But the Nytro is not much heavier, and has lots more potential. I'm looking into a supercharger for next year.

got a brand new 2010 phazer mtx for sale only has 1km on it asking $7000 for excellent buy for the wife or kids wife won it at the local casino and wont let me ride it as she knows it will be trashed in one season with my heavy thumb so gonna sell it and buy bigger sled
