I bought a Fulmer helmet from Cycle works a long time ago. Its vented, cheap and fits. I have 509 goggles and they fit inside it, and I wear a no fog. I have never had a cold head or ears.

Buy what fits and what your goggles fit. My next helmet will be a 509.

Don't shy away from a helmet just cause its a "summer" helmet. I rode all last year with an hjc MX style helmet and as long as you use a decent balaclava you'll be fine. Like stated, make sure that your helmet goggles and balaclava all fit well together and you'll be fine.

So you guys think that winter goggle type helmets are warmer than summer ones??? the only difference is snow ones come with a shitty thick breath box that squishes your nose. The inside foam is no more insulated.

i got one of these.... Respro: Racing - Quad / ATV / Snowmoblile - Foggy X Faceguard for my wife and Respro: Racing - Road Racing - Foggy Mask one of these for me..... i drilled the rivets out and took the plastic nose thing off. works great and has no bulk under your goggles.

we currently wear 509 helmets but ive worn hjcs for years.......also get snowmobile goggles with the large face foam that seals all the way around your face.

i also wear a fitted balclava i got at marks work wear house, the face area is windproof and it is contoured for your nose and has a bunch of holes infront of your mount.

In the mountains i wear a thin normal balaclava and no wind deflector cause its like +5 plus your working hard, i only wear the fitted balaclava and deflector in sask.
