Looking at the amount of crud on the block that does not look disturbed I am with the buyer and believe you got royally screwed by Teth-Air. I'd say his product won't sell so well if he doesn't buck up for a bit of a refund, trust factor just went down the toilet and don't see it comin up as long as he sits quiet.

something sure sounds fishy here. the case bottom is cracked, most likely new, my question why is the repair not broken? either barnes did this or someone else. mr r's would never let that engine out with that crack. those guys new there stuff.
to me that motor was run with leaking exhaust gaskets or worse. that is some thick oil coating. someone is not telling the story here. :nono:, i would like to see more pic. mr barnes you said you lent sled out, not able to ride? something sure smells funny to me.

anyone else.

Yup, I said i lent it out to my roommate's fiance over the Christmas holiday. The sled's only trip to the mountains this year. I was in Ontario over the Christmas Holidays thus not being able to go.

Its funny how people just jump out and start guessing.. haha.

Oh well, no luck spilting the case tonight, need to pick up a 30mm socket from work tomorrow for the stator nut.

just questions i have, not guessing and not jumping. was the exhaust leaking from day 1 when you bought it. this sounds like a quick repair and get it out of here type of thing.

:confused:Haven't heard from Teth Air lately... Maybe he's feeling guilty about something!!! But on the other hand he is getting some free advertising here even if it's bad... Never heard of the teth air system before this.. Sounds like the salesman is a real stand up guy lol...:d:beer:

just need a cheapo puller from princess auto..

and since its destroyed impact away.....

Don't buy the cheapo pullers from PA, get the good harmonic balancer puller that is way beefy (i forget the name but the brand has a red packaging - its NOT Powerfist). I broke 3 of the powerfist pullers trying to take a flywheel off once, bought the big one and haven't looked back since. The cheap ones just broke, maybe I'm just too strong? :D
