New 6.7L Cummins power rating.

Dodge has released the 2011 Cummins power rating at 390HP and 800FT Lbs of torque without urea injection.

Just received an email from them.
Sounds like they re-flashed the PCM. Just like the rest of us! LOL!!
Class leading.....
Wonder if they used the 2012 level playing field SAE specs to do the rating.

yes the cab and chasis have urea injection, but the pickups dont yet

Only 3500 cab and chassis and bigger have it. Still not on regular 2500/3500. But it's going to happen eventually.

Misread my info I guess Peak hp is still 350 but the hp is more at crusing Rpm, which is going to be nice for towing.

oh yes another forum about the new diesels :d you ready Longhorn we got a new topic to stir the pot on this time hahaha The new cummins will be good no urea till 2014 is the supposed prediction for the cummins and they are in the works of an 8 spedd tranny wich will allow you to make some serious reliable power with an already good motor! I'm a big chev guy but I truly believe the cummins is the best motor out there maybe not the most powerful but for reliability you really cant beat a cummins. that being sai dI hope they finally do bump the power of the hp and torque up maybe then they could beat a chev or ford down the strip

I doubt it, there is a different torque converter in the 2011 to handle the extra TQ.

I have a 2011 3500 that was built in dec 10 - probably has the older torque convertor. I read before I purchased that there was to be a mid year update on the drivetrain and the dealer did not know about this update two weeks ago when I bought; said that if it was just a flash update, they may be able to update the older truck. Factory flashes will keep the warranty - will Edge or Bully dog chips void warranty???

Sold my 6.7 dodge and bought 2011 ford. Now that's a truck with some power. Rogers pass uphill in 8" snow and passing rigs with 5 sleds in a 30 ' trailer. My 6.7 with a smarty box and every delete possible didn't even compare Had to pass on flats or downhills. I hope dodge steps it up also. Way under powered compared to the chev/ford

please stay away from bullydog and edge for the 6.7 cummins. the H&S mini maxx, or black maxx and the Smarty are the only tuners worth using. as far as warranty goes, depends on your dealer. ANY modification to your truck, including changing the tire size can or will void your warranty if your dealer wants to be a douche. feel your dealer out on mods before going all out.

this is exactly right stay away from edge and bullydog is rite the only 2 that do work on dodge is H&S and smarty but EFI live that was only chev is working out a system for dodge and IMO that will be the best chip by far it is on the dmax
