Me I think I'd send them back as they just don't fit right, and get wildchild to do you up a set, I have full slider ridge and it took just a little dremel grinding to fit perfect.

he's got a good point. I wonder why they dont fit your rails proper? I had to make mine fit because they were second hand. If you can return them you may want to and get proper fitting ext. they will work just need some massaging! the take up screws can fit using an exsisting hole just drill right thru both peices and bolt them tight, if you have to drill thru a new section make sure you have enough meat surrounding the bolt on both.

I've never seen a set of mountain machine rail ext's just bolt right on.. There has always been a little modification required.. After they are modified they work well.. Havn't seen a set yet though that the lip for the slider didn't line up, it's usually just mods so that they will fit into the original rear axle hole.. This one is a bit strange.

Ahh. For your adjusters, measure how far the axle got moved back(measure from the front of one slot to the front of the other other one) then measure the same distance distance back from your original mounting position of the adjusters.. Hope this makes sence.

measure where the old position of the axle sat. Then the new position and from there you should be able to measure the difference. thats the distance you need to move the adjusters back. Measure for two hours and then drill....lol

Grab a tape measure...........Measure from the middle of the old scuff marks the old axle made. Measure from there to the old adjuster holes. Then use that measurement to redrill the holes on the new axle housing. This will ball park it for you. And if they are off a bit you can make or buy some new adjuster bolts. Don't reinvent the wheel just drill the holes in the right spot

i should be able to do that...i tried doin that to but if you look on the picture those holes are like right in the way...i would end up drilling into them pretty much...just move them back a little?

OK. After looking at the pics for a moment, these do not appear to be the correct extensions for your sled. The spacing on the tensioner bolts do not appear to be consistent with the original spacing (see pink arrows). The rear axle location appears to be moved up at 1/4" from the original, they are obviously too long, and the bolt hole along the bottom of the rail would be smack dab in the middle of the hole that is there. You have one of two options - send them back for the right ones or here's what I would do:
Photo #1: Cut along the line that Kore said too (red line). I would drill the holes near where the green circles are (or somewhere in those locations providing there is enough support on the backside, if not, move them to a location where there is). Grind off the part of the old rail at the blue arrow.

Photo #2: Measure the distance from the middle of the old tensioner bolt hole locations to the front of the old axle opening (yellow line). Then measure the same distance from the new axle opening forward on the rail, this will be where you need to put your tensioners (mark this measurement before you drill any of the green circle mounting holes - you may be able to use one of the tensioner bolts as a green circle mounting bolt [see rear green circle on top of the rail in photo #2, the distance from this circle to the opening of the new axle location is almost the same as the distance from the front of the old axle opening to the old tensioner bolt location]. If not, no big deal, you will just have to drill one more hole. Grind off the blue arrow area. If you want additional strength after all this, you can have the new extension welded at the recess in the old axle location (see red rounded box in photo #2 - not to perfectly correct dimensions)

id go with summitx, send them back and see if you could get a refund, and go through tracks usa, we bought a set to put a 99 summit x from a 136 to a 151 and they bolted up beautifully without any hassle

Did you call Maria or Steve at MMP? They are great people and would help you out. I had no issues installing my MMP rail extensions (for 8" wheels) and not one issue since. To me it almost looke like the wrong extensions. I have attached a pic of my skid.

No probs on moving the tensioners back a 1/4", all it means is that you will have a little bit less (or more) tensioner bolt sticking out towards the axle. That's no big deal.
