WTF do they do with them when they steal them?????? dealers have the serial #'s so it's not like it can ever be dealer serviced again, who the hell is willing to pay for a hot sled?????? I guess I can understand the older ones but I just don't get it....can't licence, register, repair ect...

If someone wants to steal one from my place I figure they will have to shoot my dog first... problem is I wouldn't put it past some people.....

If you are stealing them, Why do you care about dealer service? Just Burn it where it quits and go get another one! They are free and just lying around in trailers and on the back of trucks. Obviously the owners don't need them or they would be sitting on them:rolleyes:
At least that is what they did when they stole some trucks from us

Dogs won't stop much. Just throw in a fresh bone or roast ( you can steal them to!!!) and dog will be busy until you are done shopping and loading up your new toys:rolleyes:

Nothing will stop until Judges ( not cops) take this ch!t a little more serious and at least start making them do community services for long periods of time if not some jail time

Saying they must be in B.C. is a little offensive I think. Why would you assume that?

Ive been sledding since 95 in Alberta. Not once have I registered a sled.

We can't all be rebels.......:d I tend to rack up fines, so the cost of my registrtion is 1/3 of 1 fine..... I agree that a lot are not but you risk a fine if they aren't (then they check for beer and make you dump it out:( )

thieves are a pain in the azz...an although the gun idea is a good one, i always take out the cdi,,easy to access in most cases, then they cant hotwire it....

and some makes have interchangable keys so it almost to easy
or simply open the hood and unplug the ignition and the start.....

it may take a few minutes but its worth it,,,, cdi or ecu s are pretty expensive to replace and thieves wont work to hard....if they carry the unit away and it has no ecu/cdi the ecu s are color coded so they dont interchange just a thought

did i mention i liked the gun idea.....

We should set them up. Put a sled out in someone's yard out by Stony Plain. Just sit in the garage having a few beer, might have to wait awhile...then ambush the buggers when they come. Beat the living snot out of them. Then put a sign on them, "I tried to steal some hard working guys snowmobile". Strip them down and drop them off tied up on some busy street. Or we could just keep running them over with the sled until the cops show up. lol.

To get a fine they have to catch you.
