Hey what's up guys I'm new to the Rzr game and ended up buying an 2012 800s with 4600km for 10k. Its pretty much stock except for the SS rims With Swamp Lite 29.5X10. I've Had it out a few times now and need more power! I have 3-4k to put into it what should I do wanna have some power like a 900xp.? Let me know what I don't know lol! Thanks

You should probably trade it in for a 900xp then.

You're going to lose power turning 29.5" tires, should you'll want to get a clutch kit for starters.

But if you spent 10k and have another 4k to spend, you would have been better if getting a new 900. The new 900's are far better than the 800's which they stopped making.

Yeah a new 900xp starts at 17k and thats stock so after said and done 23k with upgrades not looking for payments. Im thinking of getting some lower tires, chip, exhaust system and tuner? would that do anything? Im already in it for 11,300 with doors , breaks , mall joints, ti rods and full flush of fluids. so wise well make it my own. It is fast just want more

I had a 800. Went to the 900 xp. Totally different engine etc.

The 800 don't waste money on it.

You could of bought a used xp900 for a grand more with all the extras already on it...the only way to get a worthwhile power increase is a turbo or Holtz big bore kit ....both about 5 grand each...!
The turbo won't last though......

Your only real choice is as above or trade for a 900... The suspension on the 900 is ten times better too....
Also if your axles are stock, they will need to be upgraded as well...
On both the 800 / 900.... Both machines have poor stock axles!

I would suggest driving a 900 Xp, you will see the difference.....

Cheers...!!

I know, I was just kidding around. If i had 3 grand to spend on a 800rzr, id look at clutch kit, tires, bumpers maybe, need a stereo. stuff like that.
dont think youll get much more power out of it. specially when it has a bunch of kms on it already.

Go to some 27 inch tires and 2 20lbs bottles of NOS. Clutch kit. Fast 800rzr on the cheap. may blow up though...lol

Just talk to the bank and get a brand new 1000 with a Turbo. Any thing less is a waste of time.

Hope this helps.

Totally agree.

Not often I agree with you either. lol.

See it perfect.

I do not sled at all.

So any sled information I add is to piss you off.

I never really have noticed any sled posts out of you besides hoping it doesn't snow.
But if you want to talk sledding thats fine by me. Not sure why you'd think that would piss me off?

i put a trinity 830 11-1 pistons in mine. check your compression mine was around 140 after engine rebuild 195. i run 27 ITPs and a clutch kit the top speed is not that high but the low end is strong. the nice thing about the new cylinders is they coat them so they don,t wear out just replace rings. did all the work myself and with parts it was less than 1500

I would put a roof on that stays on lol. But like said above a big bore is your best bet. And a good exhaust along with a clutch kit that's designed for your tires and engine mods. Don't do an off the shelf clutch kit if you have engine mods you won't get the most out if your motor. Most builders have there own clutch kit to go with there motors.

We had an Elan way back, the new ones are a lot funner though. You'd probably like mountain sledding.
