hi guys. i just have a few questions to ask. i bought a 2000 yamaha wolverine 350 about a year ago and it had a ducati muffler on it. it was a little to low for my liking so i took it off today and went to cut the exhaust pipe about 5 inches behind the muffler and there was steel wool all bunched in there? is this suppose to be in there? and if i take it out you think i will have to rejet my quad becuase there will be to much flow after? it just stumpped me? cause i know there should be packer in the muffler but not the pipe behind it right?
need help with my exhaust?

I am wordering if that is what they used as a spark arrestor. You will have to ride it to find out about the jetting.
