Similar to the Mazda Tribute. Can you post a picture of it? Maybe I can help. A lot of the parts are actually cheaper through a Mazda dealer!!!

Get it towed to the nearest Ford dealer. Being a motorsport dealer, you should have no problem accepting $100+ per hour shop rate!!!!

It was not a cheap shot. It is reality.

that is true overbore, however i like you have a choice to shop for a part or service, and i was simply looking for help from some fellow members...heres what i found from shopping the egr valve-

ford store in town..199.00
ford store next town 169.00
mazada (ardypol) 125.oo less deal...105
bumper to bumper 98.00

does it pay to shop yes, and because of the williness to help out, when the wife wants to replace the escape, which will be soon, i will go see ardypol and give him business. as he seems fair and honest, he didnt have to respond hes not working at nite.. its call friendship.. so your right it is reality,. and reality is it pays to shop around ...... have a greaaaat day and thanks for your reminder to all our mutual friends, about the importance of knowing that its not just what you pay, its what you get for what you pay and ill go for the service anyday.

Let me know if i can every help you out, as i would love to save you a few bucks if i every had the opportunity....play it forward...

i have no problem paying, and fyi our door rate is 95.00 an hour...thanks

I was not referring to your shop rate. I was referring to Ford's rate. What I meant was that a shop that now is known to charge only $95 /hr for work on small engines should have no problem to spend a little more per hour for a shop that works on automobiles. Just saying.

In the end it does not matter what your or the other shop rates are because it will never be a concern of mine.
