IMHO O'Leary is a POS,but I can't argue with what he said. "dirty oil" is alway's talked about,
but what is the alternative? Where is there billion's of dollar's of oil(energy) surrounded by butter flies and rose's? O&G feed's the whole country in a big way, what industry is the NDP going to inventthat is going to bring in BILLION'S of $ of job's and tax revenue?
And BTW you frickin moron's you need O&G to make solar panel's and wind turbine's.
EVEN if we had the facility's to build a "greener" energy producer, how much money can it make and how many job's could thatpossibly support? It would make next to nothing and it could employ a few hundred people, so what's the other100,000 out of work O&G worker's supposed to do?
so true.....our provincial govt has NO IDEA what they are doing.....they have no experience.....they have created nothing but animosity and mistrust. They are providing zero support to the oil & gas industry
All these forward-thinking lefty types should try driving an electric car in Alberta in January...also try heating their home electrically (by solar and wind only of course) in January. The fact is: without fossil fuels (or lots of flippin logs) humans don't get to live in Canada year-round. Electric cars don't make heat...well they do, but it runs the batteries down VERY fast. Solar energy is only a 6hr a day deal in Alberta in the winter, so unless you have a BARN-LOAD of batteries, it isn't going to fly. Even the Tesla Powerwall isn't going to keep your house toasty at -30C for very long. https://www.teslamotors.com/en_CA/POWERWALL
