Keselowski never ran in 2nd practice after hitting a fence post and doing significant damage to his RH side of the car after trying to avoid another car that cut him off. Damage to the exhaust pipes, side skirt and jack post so the crew is putting a new side on the car instead of going to a backup.

Jez Ken, I just clicked on this thread, I didn't realize that you were the nerve centre for Nascar from your headquarter in Milo. You must have a designated room with a direct feed and multi wall monitors!! I'm impressed and I'll have to checkout on a slow day of fishing at Macgregor or a cold snow day when it's race day

Yeah as you know Dusty its my biggest passion in life. If I had to do it all over again I would have got an engineering degree instead of Agricultural Mechanics and headed south to knock on doors. Lol.

Well as you know I've always loved racing especially behind the wheel. And if I had to do it all over again, I would've stuck it thru when I had the chance to go to stunt school as a driver in LA, or stayed in the hotbed of racing in the states. I've drifted all from Nascar over the years it has changed so much over the years. My best memory was having inside field parking at the Nascar race in Phoenix in 92. We got bring my Chevy van down the back stretch to park in the infield. So I was 2 spots over from Dale Ernhardt rig, and even had the chance to share the urinal with Bill Elliott at infield washrooms. That infield pass cost me $75 over above are Vip pass of $225 each, which got us lots. I imagine that's worth a lot more now. Still have Daytona, Indy 500 and F1 race in Monaco on my bucket list. Plus I want to go three day winged sprint car school down in the states before I get to old!!! lol

Yeah very hard to get close to drivers now compared to say NHRA which is very accessible. Met John Force 15 minutes into the day at first NHRA race. Not as much demand on them either but they are super folks with the fans. Now you need a Hot Pass to get close to a driver which basically means you need to know somebody important. The regular Joe will not meet a driver at a race now. Everything is more expensive thats for sure. If you get a chance to try out a Nascar themed driving school or experience I highly recommend it. I've done it 3 times and loved it!

Sucks that Nascar makes this race a impound race. You have peeps going for the pole like the smaller teams and you have the bigger teams going for driveability in the Duels. Makes for a mixed bag and the fastest car is not necessarily the pole winner.

I see Jimmy Johnson in top 5. Didn't he win a Duel last year? As far as Ricky S goes that likely as good as it gets for him. Who does he drive for this year?
