Driving like Kasey was is kinda like taking out your grampa. Kasey is well liked in the garage but I don't think he wants to get in a popularity contest with Mark Martin. At least not with the other drivers voting.

Penske's appeal was turned down today in an unanimous vote. They will now take there case to the next and final appeal process of John Middlebrook on May 7th. The teams will stay intact for the Talladega race this coming weekend.

Denny Hamlin says he will start the race this weekend in Talledega and leave the car at the first caution to another driver. Nascar is saying they still do not have a note from his doctor clearing him to race. Stay tuned.

Keselowski fastest in Happy Hour practice. It looks like qualifying will be rained out tomorrow as there is 100% chance of rain all day so Edwards will start from the pole based on his fast lap time from the first practice if this happens..

Interesting factoid from Speed Channel. Everyone thinks Earnhardt is a premier plate racer yet he hasn't won at a plate track since 2004!!! WTF???? I think there are alot of drivers I'd go with for a win ahead of that dubious stat.

He did win the Shootout and his Gatorade Duel in his first two races in the 88 car for Hendrick... not points races but thought that was a good preview for his future at Hendrick Motorsports - guess not so much eh?

Yeah I don't know. Maybe he should go to the old school helmet like his Dad so he can see the air better? Lol.

Missed the race but just watched the last restart to the finish. Looked pretty good at the end. Hope you were awake for the end. Lol.

Couldn't see it better. Feel it though, the air pressure or wind resistance change on his face. Dale Sr was also notorious for not wearing gloves. He could feel the car better he claimed. Also extremely thin shoes so he could feel the engine. One story I heard was he was running in a race and came over the radio and said " we're done, we blew up, I'm coming in!" Upon arrival in the garage his crew lifted his hood and didn't see any oil, rods, etc. and asked him what he meant or how he knew. He walked over to the tool chest and pulled a prybar out and wedged it behind the crankshaft pull and pried it out.

He certainly was a good ol' boy, they just don't make them like that anymore.

Of course the old helmet and lack of HANS device is what turned him into a human bobblehead.

i enjoyed the race on Saturday and the finish was awesome! best finish i have seen in while.

did you see Kyle Larson's car after he blew the tire, most of the sheet metal was gone.

the roof flaps seemed to go their job on a another crash, it looked like the car Bayne hit was in the air for a good while before settling down

They ought to take the douches license away when NASCAR hits the restrictor plate tracks. What a fawkin tool shed!
