Yes congrats to David Ragan an old Roush driver. He has always been a very good restrictor plate racer and almost won the Daytona 500 a few years back but made a poor choice on a late restart. Its nice seeing an underdog win once in a while.

Todays Nascar news. Penske's penalties from the Texas race were upheld by Chief Officer John Middlebrook at the final appeal stage however he has reduced the suspensions of all the crew members of the 2 and 22 teams from 6 races and the All Star race to 2 races and the AllStar race. Roger Penske view this as a victory for them. Also James Finch owner of the Phoenix racing #51 team has said today he is suspending his Nascar operations as of the Brickyard in August citing lack of sponsorship as the cause. Also Nascar is reviewing Ryan Newman's comments after the Talledega race which infer a slur towards Nascar and the plate racing/gen 6 car. Penalties could be announced tomorrow. Gibbs goes through the first appeal process tomorrow for there engine issue from Kansas.:news:

Gibbs appeal was reduced today. All crew members are now suspended for only one points race as opposed to the 6 originally given. Also Kenseth's driver penalty points are now reduced to 12 from the original 50. The same goes for Gibbs owner points. Toyota was assessed 7 manufacturer points instead of the original 5. I thought Nascar would come to there senses and I'm sure Coach Gibbs is praising the Lord tonight.

Danica struggled with Darlington last year to. Stewart made her race that track last year so she would be familiar with it for this year. Apparently she isn't familiar yet. Lol..
