Big news today. Michael Andretti has been reported to have purchased the Dodge motor program from Penske. Word is Petty Motorsports will be the team to merge with him. Word has it they actively went after Kenseth last week. Kenseth said he is going to a new team. New team at Andretti or Gibbs is the question?

Junior Douche and Junior fastest in first practice and Junior and Hamlin fastest in second and final practice. Pretty slick there with track temperatures registering over 130 degrees farenheit.

Johnson on the pole. Roush says Kenseth going to dark side. Roush has no love for Toyota.Vicious winds delay some of qualifying.

I think we still see Rotten Ronnie's sponsoring McMurray's #1 car the odd week don't we?

So who's the driver that can play through pain the best tonight in Kentucky? Over 100 farenheit with over 140 farenheit in the race car. Better be hydrated and better be focussed and in good shape. Going to be alot of crabby drivers if there cars aren't right tonight.

Looks like with 9 races left before the chase a couple things are clear. Carl Edwards needs to string some top tens together to get in the top ten before the chase and Jeff Gordon has to win 2 or 3 to get in as he can not get in on points being to far back. Allegances aside do you guys think that these 2 drivers can do it or not?

I'm having an internal battle to take all the good karma I have personally directed to Matt over to Carl to get him in the Chase seeing Matt is leaving to the dark side next year. What do you think Troy? Lol.:decision:

I see Bruton Smith, president and CEO of ISC race tracks is calling for Nascar to have mandatory cautions during races to make them more exciting at the end. He is complaining about the long green flag runs we've seen in Nascar this season. Isn't that like fixing a race to finish in your favor. I don't like it.

Well if Matt gives it his all and wins the cup for Jack I'll wish him well , But how does a guy leave knowing it can only get better and he's in a seat of a car that just about anybody would kill to have , a screw it and start cheering for Carl

Yeah I think I'll watch it play out a few more weeks and then decide. I'm going to cheer a Ford every race no matter what at this stage. Interesting where Roush said he didn't even know there was an issue, no offer had been made yet or rejected. The thought is Kenseth was concerned this year that they couldn't find him a big sponsor but they had no problem filling out Carls datebook. Guess we may never know.....

I think snipers would make the race more exciting too, (maybe use the spotters) but that doesn't mean it'd be a good idea.
