Looking like soggydega today. Its pouring rain on Nascar Raceday. The Weather Network shows on and off heavy rain till about 2:30pm with chance of thunderstorms through Tuesday. Looks like tomorrow is even wetter. High of 32c today. This race may not go this weekend.

The wreck yesterday in the nationwide race was a close call. First off it didnt even look like eric mcclure lifted on the gas, it looked like he didnt scrub any speed off. Second is that could have been a different outcome had he been just a bit further down the track when he hit.the wall since there wouldnt have been a safer barrier.

My complaint is WHY?!?!?! they act like those safer barriers are a million dollars a foot. I have thought about this for years, why dont they just safer barrier the whole track inside and outside wall. A drivers safety is ALWAYS #1.

Anybody else wanna chime in on this?

I agree 100% with you Zeebs. If the track owner doesn't want to comply then go somewhere else. Its not like there isn't tracks lined up all over North America wanting a race.

he brought that on himself as well. he had plenty of time to slow right down, like Jr did....except he's so eager to end his streak of bad luck he made a poor choice and tried to race past the incident.

exactly....when they throw the yellow your position is frozen in the running order, no need to race back to the line anymore. as soon as you see smoke or your spotter hollers wreck, get on the binders....
