Sounds like like there are a few guys chapped at Reutamin...Roootamin...Ruetiminn, dammit! That guy who brought out the yellow flag, he went around at least two or three times without going in ( I saw when it first happened he was trapped up high, but after that...
On a side note, what a difference new rubber makes, eh?! :)

Tommy Baldwin was interviewed on SpeedCenter and showed the broken part off his steering arm. Nascar validated the motor was done after the race. He was trying to go one more lap to stay in the top 35 in points but couldnt get it done. Problem is everyone is on there own program from 1-43. He needs to stay in the top 35 and Gordon and JJ need to race for the win. It sucks for them but unfortunately that is the way it goes sometimes.:dunno:

Restrictor plates at Michigan?????? Jeff Gordon ran 215mph at a tire test in Michigan today on the freshly paved Michigan Speedway. Expect teams testing tomorrow to go faster yet they are saying. Can't see Nascar being to happy about that. Hmmmmmmm..........

So Hendrick has retired the 48 cheater car from Daytona and it will be parked at Dale Jr's acreage in his junkyard. Is it still not legal or is he fed up with the attention that car has brought to his company? Jr. also has the infamous Montoya/jet dryer car from Daytona in his junkyard as well. Two cars that were hot for different reasons.....

Bruton Smith announced that changes will be made to the track surface at Bristol before the August night race. After huge fan input to go back to the racing Bristol has always been known for the decision was made to tear up the track surface immediately. It is expected to be well over a $1,000,000 undertaking. Expect 1 groove racing and lots of wrecks as passing will once again be at a premium.

Folks were at the spring race and said attendance was only about half. Everybody but car owners liked the old bristol.

Charlotte. Folks took a tour there when they went to the bristol race this spring. State of the art facility.

I thought the Vegas name in the middle left of the 2nd picture would give it away :)

I was hankering for the Richard Petty Experience, but they wernt running this week, had to take a track tour and then headed over to the Shelby headquarters to sooth my feelings.

A little tip the girls giving the tour told us, a weekend package at Vegas for the Nascar race costs around 250 bucks for seating, but they keep 2 suites open and sell packages to the general public for just over a grand where you get a seat in the suite, free food and full access. She says they dont advertise it but if you call early enough you can get booked in for next years race.

After seeing the view from that suite, I gotta tell you it is real tempting to sign up.
