Qualifying got in today between rain storms at Daytona. Fords were stout with McDowell on the pole and 11 of the top 15 cars being Ford teams.

Shane Van Gisbergen will race full time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025 for Kaulig Racing in the 88 car

AJ Allmendinger will return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025 racing the Kaulig Racing 16 car

Zane Smith will part ways with Spire Motorsports after the 2024 Cup Series season and an unnamed driver will take over the seat in the 71 car

NASCAR will leave the LA Coliseum for the 2025 Busch Clash and Bowman Grey Stadium will replace that venue for that event. Quite a change but the crowds were getting smaller every year. LA has a short attention span

Wow what a car race! 2 big ones and nascar overtime. With all the favorites out it looked like Cryle Busch was gonna win as he lead in the last lap until Parker Retzlaff gave a massive push to Harrison Burton by Busch and he held him off on the front stretch to the finish line even after Burton was pushed below the double yellow line. Congrats to Burton winning his first Cup race even though he is being pushed out of the car at season end. Congrats to the Woods Brothers winning their 100 race for Ford. Congrats to the happy Dad in the broadcast booth watching his son win while calling the race. Pretty cool night when Fords lead probably 90% of the race.

My sister lucked out and got a really good race to see live for the 1st time. I kept getting updates and questions asked as she doesn't really follow Nascar but won the trip from her work. I think she is hooked now.
