Well they made it and squeaked in final practice. I was watching Brads line through the practice from the in car camera and he runs the same line around that track that I have the 2 times I've ran it but his speeds are way way higher?
Anyway I think this race is going to be a lot like Atlanta. Not as much pack racing as everyone initially thought with the new rules package. Kez was holding the throttle wide open for lap after lap but a lot weren't. Here is the 10 fastest from that practice: 3-8-17-10-2-6-1-41-18-12

What a very dry race. Fell asleep 4 times. Only exciting part was when Busch and Logano almost side swiped each other at the big inning.

Zal you should have stayed awake for the good stuff. Haha. Great restarts and Logano and Kez racing back and forth at the end was great IMO

He has along way to go to be a dominating car. Roush has started to pass Hendrick. Jimmie has finished laps down in both downforce races this year with no crashes or mechanical issues.

I hear ya, a guy can dream though. It'll be a few years but Hendricks has the talent, just young still. Joey took 8-9 years to win a championship too. Elliott, Bowman, and Byron will have their day in the sun.

2nd practice results just in from Cali: Its windy there but they are still running wide open all the way around with the new aero and engine package: 4-18-2-19-8-22-10-88-3-37. Keselowski has the fastest 5 and 10 lap averages with Kyle Busch having the fastest 15 lap average but Kez never ran 15 consecutive laps. .
