Was hoping for that or a little bumper tap.
best race I have attended ever at Phoenix. Great action all race and new seating was great with shade all day and beer was cold! Mach I told you that Harvick would make it as he fought hard after his first stage flat tire to transfer into the championship race with Logano, Busch aand Truex. I’m hoping for Logano to win his first but Harvick will most likely be the champ!

The winner next Sunday will be the driver from the final four that has the highest finish. However in recent years the champion has won that race in Homestead. All 4 drivers will start with a clean points slate. Previous points do not count anymore. Harvick should be the favourite is my thinking.

Anybody catch the 4 drivers on media day yesterday? The big 3 spent some time basically ignoring or making poor remarks about the Penske effort. Good. Forget about Joey. I hope it bites them in the azz.

Truex made a statement in 1st practice today in Miami. A full .15 second faster lap time than 2nd place driver Kyle Busch. Here were the top 10 times: 78-18-14-9-4-41-3-20-1-2. Joey Logano placed 16th

Let's go Kevin, we should have a little bet, 10 bucks winner takes all, lol
HaHa! Kevin has to make up some positions from qualifying first. Here is how the starting line up looks after qualifying tonight: 11-18-78-2-22-41-20-31-17-10. Harvick qualified 12th.

2nd practice from Miami: 22-10-11-31-20-21-37-19-78-14. Busch was 23rd and Harvick 28th. They say Harvick is struggling this weekend. Logano had the best 15 lap average of the Championship hopefuls.

They just wrapped up the last practice for 2018 and Logano continues to dominate leading the way in overall lap speed and 15 lap average over the whole field. Here is how the numbers look: 22-78-2-20-10-12-11-21-19-17. Busch was 12th and Harvick 14th fastest. Busch hit the wall in that session and has significant right side damage so not sure what they will decide on the car if they will fix it or go to the back up. Harvick is still trying to find speed and will have to work on that throughout the race tomorrow. All the Penske and Gibbs cars are fast this weekend.

Final point standings for 2018: 22-78-4-18-10-9-41-2-42-12. Those will be the 10 drivers on the stage at the banquet in a couple weeks.
