Nascar news today. Kasey Kahne will not return to the 95 car this season as heat stroke symptoms still linger. Regan Smith will finish out the year in the 95 car but next years driver was tabbed today as Matt Di Beneditto. Leavine Racing will also switch manufacturers next year to Toyota and have a technical alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing. Matt has always been known as a great driver but always in poor equipment. Next year we will see if his talent shines through as he should be in pretty good race cars for the first time ever.

Kevin Meendering will move up from the Xfinity program at Jr. Motorsports to handle the crew chief duties for the 48 car next year.

They got qualified in Dega today and it was a Stewart Haas sweep, then Hendricks and then a couple Gibbs: 41-14-4-10-9-48-88-24-18-11. Big wildcard race tomorrow that should shake up the points.
