He will be there at the end. Its Nascar's longest race. They know they have to keep getting better because everyone else is working to get to where they are right now.

I am Heading to Telladaga in October with a crew from work. We have a motor home and sky box rented on turn four in the infield. None of us has been to Telladaga and most of us have never been to a NASCAR race. We are having a planning session tomorrow. (Much like the blind leading the blind) Any advise any NASCAR veteran's may have would be appreciated.

Well Keith if you are going to Talledega and staying in the infield I would suggest lots of Tylenol because that is the party of parties to attend they say. A bit like Mardi Gras with people walking around with beads around their necks trading for.......lol. The racing will be good but you will only see what is close to you when they go by in the pack
but you will be impressed. The track is 2.6 miles long, Nascars longest so binoculars are a must to see the racing away from you if you are high enough to see. The race will be on the Jumbotron as well. A lot of peeps in the infield will sit on the roof of the RV's with lawn chairs. Watch for drivers after hours in golf cars driving around to observe the infield atmosphere. You might get a autograph or a picture.

Great advise Ken I'll be sure to bring biono's. The motorhome we are renting has a staircase to the roof and a skybox attached so we are sitting high in the front row (we booked the rig/spot before last october's race). I also know our crew and took the liberty of booking a nearby hotel room. I had suggested Phoenix or Vegas for a race but apparently they were to tame, after reading your comments I am beginning to understand.

You've got the RV part figured out, that's how i want to do my next race is stay at the track in an RV. There will be lots of idle time throughout the weekend so embrace the tailgate atmosphere with some lawn chairs, lots of beverages, flags, some games like cornhole etc and if permitted a propane firepit and a bbq. Other than that brush up on the car numbers and rep your driver hard. Oh and I like to rent a race scanner radio. The radio broadcast of the race has too many ads but it's cool to listen to your driver or the race leaders.

You will have so much fun.

Rent the race radio with the little tv screen.
Works great to watch action after a crash.
