I dont care who you are, it was sure nice to see menard get his first cup win at indy. That guy doesnt get near as much credit as he deserves, and he's a fairly low key driver (you never see him causing trouble or drving like an idiot.) Sure hope that team can pull together and make the chase.

By the way what do the rest of you guys think about the first time winners this year? Its been a great season this year, and I just hope it ends as good as its been this far!

I'm with you guys. Everytime someone new wins it creates balance which is always good for any sport. People are tired of JJ winning every week I think.

All right boys its finally official....... Cousin Carl has signed an extension with Rousch Fenway Racing. Also Danica is working on a deal with Jr Motorsports to run Nationwide full time and also working with Stewart Haas to run a limited Cup schedule.

The series is back at the tricky triangle again this weekend and 2 practices are over. Mark Martin has been solid throughout and Ryan Newman has been strong as well so those are my picks but Kurt Busch has been consistent and Keseloski has shown what he has even when he is injured. I just dont think BK will be able to handle the injury the whole race and get the win.

I'm always pulling for 'ol Mark Martin, just a classy guy. I'd like to see him put a couple of wins on his resume before he decides to retire. :) I just read about the Nationwide finish, I would have like to see Cousin Carl push his teammate across like that :d . I'm going to go with Cousin Carl...How about Logano! Again this week he's starting strong...almost like he's fighting for a ride for next year. ;)

missed the race cause I was at another tractor pull. WOW what else can I say?!?! BK is one tough customer!

Who would have thought he could have pulled it off after his road atlanta crash?

with that win it should make him a legit contender for the wild card spot into the chase!

I didn't see/hear about that.

They both had a spirited battle in the closing laps with a little door banging and JJ confronted Busch after the race while he was still in his car. I think it goes back to JJ bump drafting him at last years race and wrecking Busch and almost killing Elliot Sadler. Should make for must see TV the next couple races.

Nascar news for the day. Two of Montoya's crewman have been arrested, fired by Ganassi and kicked out of Nascar for drug trafficking. Which brings up the question.........is the Columbian connection, Mr. Montoya the supplier? Lol. And........ the president of Pocono Raceway announced today that starting next year both races will be shortened to 400 miles. This is long overdue. What do you guys think?

Who's everybody picking for the Glen this weekend? I think Tony is due. He needs a win for the chase field and this is his best chance I think. Will Ambrose run well? He didn't look strong at Infineon.

Wow, the big names are all starting deep in the field...I'm going to go with the 24 and Smoke. We'll see if Kurt can keep his temper in check if him and JJ come together. I doubt JJ will provke him, but I have been wrong before :)

I'm going with Ron Fellows and Boris Said. Boris has had so much bad luck at the Glen I think he's due to take a trophy home. Ron is just a great road racer and a good pick I feel. As far as a regular Nascar driver, maybe Newman.
