Team Chevy transcript today says Menard did in fact spin his tires on the restart and knew he was a sitting duck on that restart as he only took 2 tires and his car was not set up for short runs but was better suited for long runs. Sounds to me he is not to pizzed about losing that race and probably would have lost anyways?

In 2008, nascar screwed Carl over. He beat the hell of out the field in the Atlanta race. For some reason the oil tank lid was loose, its sits behind the drivers seat. Cost him 100 points, guess what he loses the championship to the jj by 69 points. I cheer for all drivers & makes but bow ties, go Ford or Toyota!.

Holy! That is huge! I missed that, we were doing our hockey draft and had the volume off, only caught bits and pieces of the race all night. Curious, why was the spotter suspended?

He told Vickers to pit which gave Truex the point he needed to get in the Chase. I remember the announcer saying Truex needed to pass somebody in the last 2 laps to get in but he didn't and still got in. Vickers was the difference.

To add to this all 3 of MWR teams have been docked 50 driver and owner points. This puts Bowyer in at 7th in the regular season standings instead of 3rd.
