My Pro is falling apart!

2012 Pro Rmk 800 . 1200 miles this season , love the sled but... It's in the shop right now and I'm not riding this weekend!. All maintenance is current. Motor mounts are shot, it's on 4th belt and mounts are moving lots . Primary clutch issues yet again on second spring and shop says its bent? But the spring has worn into the cover quite a bit to the point of where the spring does not sit flat on cover . Pipe springs from y pipe to pipe have almost worn right through the hooks on pipe . Steering bushings are beyond worn out! Rear suspension torque arms have 3/8 inch play and clunk badly ( gets greasedJ every 2 rides) . Brake drag noise ( more annoying than a problem ) but it shouldn't drag at All. Running Boards are starting to crack out, I haven't even cornice dropped because I know of this issue . This Is the list I gave the shop and they Called yesterday and agreed all this stuff is worn out! They said they could prob get everything under warranty except the rear suspension components might be tough since its a wear item?

So has any one else had this many problems?

The engine has never missed a beat and runs excellent and I love the sled except this is a bit much after one season. It has 3 year b2b warranty but theres not gonna be much of this thing holding together after three years!
One last thing to add, it is ridden hard every ride! All deep snow mountain riding.
My buddies are all bugging me that Polaris makes there sleds out of recycled pop cans haha!! Is light weight good !?

Lighter you go the more maintenance you have to do. Period!! if your stuff is worn through then its on you.

That didn't take long for that retarded term 'flickable' to come up!!
You still couldn't give me a Doo with That boat motor Etec, even if the brp sleds do hold up

Sorry to hurt your feelers. Just having some fun.:ignore: BTW the word "flickable" comes from Polaris marketing. And..........................the ETEC technology comes from a boat motor. Well said!;);)

No worries my buddy rides doo and was trying to convince me to snow check a new one , but I honestly hate the etec power characteristics and the way the sleds handle . Haven't rode a 13 though ..

Well the Etec is the most powerful stock 2 stroke available. The new 13 handles like a dream and makes novice riders look much better. Where the skidoo is a little heavier you don't notice it with how well it handles and you also gain the strength. Skidoo is a bit more money but also have more engineering and technology in them. That air free

I'm not 100% sure you are correct about the hp. I beleive the cat 800 actually edges out doo for top honors in that category. Aside from the ficht fuel technology that brp put into there sleds that's been in the boat industry for many years they aren't any mor technologically ahead or more engineering in them than any other brand. BRP just likes to give it to canadian's up the hoop cause they can get away with it.

But back the poo concerns. I was told by some guys that just got back from a trip to ride with burandt that he is having issues with his poo's cracking bulkhead/tunnels. In front of the gas tank.

Yamaha also had 16" wide tracks on some of there sleds. Nothing special about a 2.5" track, cat's next year come with a 2.6" tall lug track. as far as HP that's a hair high, but you'll always get variances and for the most part the cat and doo are rated anout .75-1hp different. Direct injection is new to sleds but has been around for many many years in the boat industry. Why do you think BRP bought johnson/envirude years ago it was for the ficht fuel technology. Which is where all there "new " sled technology came from.

I think you need to get out and ride more if you can't tell a difference between a 2.5 x 16 vs any 15 wide or the powerclaw, series 5 etc. Camo extreme dominates hence why everyone buys them aftermarket.
