Im no extert on the old subject BUT i know some old people , and from the looks of those dress up pics I see some old man slippers on the floor , the ones with backs so they cant fall off and the none slip bottoms so you dont take a fall on the coffe you spilled from your shakey hands. That go clip clop as you walk.... i think this is just magnet pushing his personal issues of getting up there in age onto you. Take his comments with a grain of salt and have a little compation for him in his time of need.
