Do you have any factual evidence to support anything you wrote in your angry rant?

Where does one get a 12 year auto loan? Or should we call it a mortgage?
Only "journalists" are allowed to publish opinion pieces and pass them off as fact. All social media posts must now be backed up with references. Thank you.

Well 3 years ago I was offered a 108 month term on a 1 ton Cummins limited lol, that’s 1 year off of 10 years for slow folks such as yourself. I never took it of course lol. You can get 20-25 year boat loans. A buddy of mine is a finance guy at a dealership and said through some sub par lenders you can get 10 year loans already, only a matter of time and it will be 12, especially with the rate of inflation due to plandemic loving commie liberals

12 stalls at 250kw.
12stalls at 250kw. As I’ve posted before, the 250kw number falls off rapidly when more than one car is being charged simultaneously, if ambient temperatures are high/low etc. It’s false advertising by Tesla that it’s possible to charge more than one car at that rate. Work the numbers. 12 stalls at 250kw=3Mw of power required. Call your local electric utility and tell them you want to install a business that needs a 3Mw electrical service. Don’t be upset when they laugh hysterically at you just before they hang up on you.

Well had a chance to drive jhurkots Tesla today. Gotta say I was very impressed with the car. Incredible acceleration, extremely quiet. Only some small tire noise at highway speeds. Incredible innovation inside with the ability to play games in the car, watch Netflix, you name it. Used the auto drive feature but was nervous as Johnny had a good laugh. What surprised me the most was the auto drive feature through his phone App. He literally drove the car around my yard while the both of us watched. Crazy technology. I guess I'm not as scared of the next evolution tonight as I was this morning now?

I am glad they are getting the electric cars figured out and setup for our convenience. Just imagine what it will be like when batteries are not needed anymore 😉 (sooner than you think). I could probably even tolerate an electric sled, when they are battery free and cost nothing to operate. Should be light as heck! (The added stereo system to give the beautiful 2 stroke engine noise shouldnt add too much weight 🤣).

Just because they’re building it doesn’t mean it has the electrical service capable of feeding it to its maximum falsely advertised rating. Do you understand what would be required to feed a 3Mw load? Obviously not! And you know damn well that your car only has the ability to be charged at 250Kw for a fraction of its battery capacity and even at that the condition of the battery must be within a narrow set of parameters. like most things in the green energy world, the fine print brings reality to the fore in a big hurry.

So you're saying the chargers don't work as advertised but also that they use too much energy from working as advertised?

Are you on some sort of contract or monetary commission structure based on how many people you can convince to abandon IC vehicles and jump onto the plug it in and wait, or wait to plug it in and wait crowd ? Good or bad , I sorta think the worst thing that could possibly happen to EV’s right now is that massive numbers of people purchase one, what a $#it show that would create .

No. Just made this thread because a few people were curious to hear about the real world experience of owning an EV in Canada.

It looks like Cdnfireman has a point; the supercharging stations can't run all chargers at 250kW at same time.

Per below I grabbed of Google an 8 charger station is fed from a 500kVA (ie less than 500kW depending on power factor) transformer.

So only 2 chargers could run at full 250kW capacity. If all 8 were being used then each one would only be able to put out 62.5kW.

That’s an old version 2 charger running at 150kw. See the stalls marked 1a and 1b? Those are shared power. V3 is 250kw per stall not shared.
