the amount of caribou closure around vale/blue is absolutely insane for 12 caribou. Happens to be prime Heli though no correlation i am sure

Same with Nakusp area. Last I read/heard was about 10 or less. And there starting to die off again.

These giant dams/reservoirs are really the cause for the problems. These animals just have no where to go, migrate or escape. Predators just take em out over time.

No doubt! That BS has been going on for 30 years that I know of and the herd never changes. Was a herd of a dozen when there was riding in those areas and 30 years later of no riding and still a herd of a dozen! But there are no Grizzlies in AB!! Why we let the minority run us is beyond me!!

Tricky business this caribou conversation . Parts of bc have to consider treaty rights of several First Nations which guarantees caribou as a food source. As far as the caribou in the Yukon it’s a different sub species . harvest numbers compared to the resident population is relatively low up there as well . Predation control is a very successful tool for increasing numbers . Very unpopular in the urban south though . More closures are being discussed for blue river /Valemount areas at the government level .

is that not the pirate chute from crazy canadian or thunderstruck? i cant remember but it looked like that
Felix also climbed the pirate. It didn’t have a ceiling on it. It was just super narrow. Maybe even a little longer.
