glad that all worked out not an easy task. I guess they own the groomers so it makes sense to use them but could a Hoe not have walked up there and lifted the back end of that thing out?

If the ice would support the hoe. Hoe to pull that would probably have to be 200 size. 50 000 pound operating weight. If a groomer fell in it probably wont support trackhoe .The bank looked way to steep to sit on and not pull your self in. In a pit or jobsite you could just level a pad to sit down on the bank and no big deal. Guessing that would be a big no up there. But that’s not something I actually don’t know.

but but but... for years you've said it's all about the 16" width so shouldn't the doo 146 footprint match that of the skinny 154?

ha! in theory, but it being a 2.5" lug with 60 more HP there's just no traction getting to the ground. a 146NA doo with a 3" would be a better comparison.
