Moving to Iqaluit for three years with very little snowmobiling experience.
Loking for tips on which type of snowmobiles are best on the arctic tundra. Not a single tree on Baffin Island...just snow and rocks.
Will be utilizing the sled for transportation around town, but also will be interested in some exploration around the rugid tundra (with a passenger from time to time).
Which ones are the toughest and operate best in hard cold weather conditions. I'm told I need a 4 stroke 'touring'. Seat and hand warmers would be nice. Not too worried about cost, within reason. Best brands? Best options?
Open to all thoughts and suggestions!
Thanks

YIPES!!!, that is some move your doing!. I'm assuming work-related?. As far as sleds, I would have to agree with the Skandic suggestion and there are lots of folks on the site who can steer you in the right direction in terms of best 'cold-temp' operations. Good-luck with the move:cool:

Skandic is probably the best workhorse and has the widest track for what you'll be using it for:skidoo:
