This was today. The snow was sick. 16" or 40 cm of fresh. Mind you this was in Elkford and I don't know about Fernie but we are only 70 kms apart. I will have a video done up tonight

One of my sons gave me a decal for my truck. It reads, My Life is better than your Vacation and today was another one of those days that reinforces that darn decal.

i am leaving thursday as well i am not sure if anyone is coming with me yet maybe if they would get there SLED back together lol, but yes i am leaving thursday im so excited i have never been there before, honestly i have never been south of calgary i always head to sicamous this should be fun! and i got a room sweet!

We are so looking forward to the event as well. Have never riddin Fernie area before. Ride Mostly Golden, Valemont etc and can somebody tell me what the avy situation is like in the kootneys. We have all the necessary equipment and am just wondering what the risk is in this particular area. Some feedback would be awesome. Thanks

The newest bulletin (tonight) was Moderate for Monday and Tuesday. Considerable for Wednesday. Generally speaking, you can ride the Rolling Hills and not have a lot of worries. The Notch is the big concern. Lots of safe riding areas.
