got pics of the plugs? Was the engine fully warmed up or did you hop on and go? Ive seized top ends by not letting it warm up enough

I think I should probs get me some temp read device. I dont want that to happen. how long were you pinned for? and do you have that little filter on the top of your airbox?

did have filter on airbox...pinned for a while like the lenght of a field...

squeaked is a term used when the cylinder got a little to hot from a leaned out situation and the piston gets to big for the hole causing it to cease but when it cools down sometimes you can turn it over again. Still means you will have to tear it down though.

ok that makes sense...but i let it cool down for a long time and still no budge...

You will have to pull the clyinders anyway. If you have the know how to run a socket set you can do this. Once you have the clyinders loose you will find out whether its a seized clyinder or a crank issue. I suspect its a clyinder.

What 800 are we talking about?

If you take off that plasic contoll box mounted in front of your air box and there cracks. thats why you blew it.

What was your RMP at? Im guess that with a 159" track your sled is probably clutched for the mountains? Running wide open at lower elevations for long periods will allow it to over rev.:nono:

I'm guessing you squeaked a piston as well. Tear it town and refresh your top end with new rings / pistons, you may get away with just having to hone your cylinders as long as there isn't any major damage to them.

it is a 03 summit 800 HO yes it has a thing for that i cant remember what its called but yes it has that...

Now don't quote me on this and maybe you guys already know. Is it possible that the DPM compensation is for elevation only and NOT temperature differential. In this case it could be possible to squeak a clyinder because of outside temp changes. Meaning you still have to jet for temp, but warmer air should be more dense meaning less of it as compared to really cold air. If this is so when you rode I asume it wasn't -30C and you shouldn't have leaned out. I still think you squeaked it a bit from the affects of a long hard pull across a field. Same thing if you make a long hard pull on the steep and deep.

i did a track stand plug check in -5 and in -25. the plugs were the same. It atumaticly ajusts for air quality including temp.
