As for age gap, I am totally screwed. Lol Kevy and I started dating when he had just turned 29 and I was 19. In fairness to me, I thought he was like 25, after I found out he was 29, it was too late - I was already in love. You all should have seen Terry's face a year later when he found out we were celebrating Kevy's 30th!! Hahahaha

sounds familiar! LOL

yea i got a few yrs, and right now boys are yukie, so im sticking with that for now

if I could give anyone any advice on raising daughters is to make sure you dont become complacent and write things off as "teen" years. Get involved with their lives, ask questions and make sure you fight hard if they are being let astray with the wrong boy as it maybe too late. Can never ask too many questions. Being a tough dad seems like a great answer but you cant be in their face 24/7. Just my 2 cents worth :)

the way i see it, you cant be OVERcontroling.... it'll just make them want to rebel even more
my parents and my brother and i all had a rule growing up.. if we were honest with our parents about where we were going they would let us go, and we knew they'd always be there no matter the time of night if we got in a sticky situation
if we LIED there would be hell to pay

and we were pretty good kids because of it, you had the green light to party so we partied

the worst kids were the ones having to lie to their overcontroling parents about their whereabouts. they were the ones causing all the ruckus, vandalizing and what not

so if ever i get kids... i'll try to have the same approach
lay out the boundaries from the start, and still let them live....
from my experience thats what i've seen works best with my points of view

Very True,,our girls are 20,21,22..

The youngest got married last year and the other 2 living with the boyfriends.
We had a few tough times but talking with them is very important..
Also we do a lot together, camping, dinner's go to movies.
No matter how old your kids are stay involved and talk to them..

Now if one of the girl's was prego,,Val would be so happy,,and I would go quad shopping for the baby..:d:beer:

For sure she would be sooo happy...:d:d
I would be also..

As mentioned in my earlier thread our 19 year made us grandparents rather early but after the fact we are so glad we have him.....yes him no grand-daughters hahaha. I already have a list of motorized toys to buy him. I never would have imagined it but being a grandparent is great as you can enjoy him but when it comes down to diapers etc etc call his mom :d:d
