Well, I'll spook you on the kingcat too...

M1000 is a better sled than that. You can't go wrong with an M8, but you would probably have more fun on a more rider-forward chassis. You should almost be able to get into a first year Polaris RMK pro for 8000, or 09/10 XP. 2010 XP has the updated rear suspension, get an s-36 front end, and she will feel pretty good.

So what's an 02-04 edge chassis full mod with a BB worth? Is it even something I should consider buying?

I also found a brand new 05 King Cat 162". Yes it's new. 1 ride on it. 4200.00 But you guys kinda have me spooked on 1000's.

As you can tell, I'm very undecided. I have about 7-8g to work with.

I just don't want a POS problem sled. I can wrench so that's not the issue.

Ok I'll look into those sleds.

Does a 2012 M8 (not a Proclimb) compare to the Pro or XP?

I might have to write this year off and try and pick up one cheaper in April.

An Edge chassis would be like riding a sofa compared to the sleds from the last 3 years or so. I got back into sledding on a 600 Switchback last year, and it was a great sled. I liked the deep a bit more than it could handle, so I went to an RMK.

Can't go wrong with 600 Polaris in my book. Especially is your buying used and don't want to spend more than 10K.

Do you mean the procross XF? Thats a crossover not a strict mountain sled like the proclimb.

If you mean the older M-series ( flip up hood), 2011 was the last year of that chassis. They are a lot rougher of a ride than any of the 12's but are still a good handling machine.

This one.

Does anyone know any history on this sled? 2005 RT1000. It was traded in to Echo Cycle. I'm not buying it or even thinking about it but it looks good.
