Modernizing an 96 Indy XLT

Hi Folks,

Need ideas to spruce up the old sled. Nothing radical, not changing tunnel or anything but would like to lighten it up. give it a nicer ride. Motor is ok but ideas there appreciated as well. Remeber nothing extreme but ideas appreciated.

probably Easier to trade up. you can trade into a pretty nice sled, alot newer, for less then a bag full of new parts. Just my . good luck with your project. What are you trying to accomplish?

I happen to have one of those for sale......

99 670x 144" x 2" with a fresh top end @ 200Km and reverse....... she's seen a couple culverts in her day but runs like a top....

You could get a longer track, go from 121 to 136 very easy!

when did you get this? i got the same dealy. 97. fresh top end last year. not sure what they did to this thing but it has sick power for a 670. i am sure it would smoke my ho. took her for a short rip yesterday to check the trail cam. wow is all i felt.

If you can't get that done, monster stickers add 10hp per sticker. 15 if you can find them in yellow.

you could also call a couple wreckers and see if you can get a susp out of a special. they had the fox shocks and more travel i believe. but other than going newer dont think there is much you can do.
