According to multiple reports on Facebook they were found, near the blue bridge at Alexis. Sounds like the UTV went through the thin ice/open water. They were not found alive.

Condolences to the family.

Kelly was featured on The Rig and License to Drill a few years back.

Very sad. Guys are pushing it out on the little lake at home here too and I’ll never understand why. Risk your ass to catch a few perch? I can wait. And I can think of about 55,428 better ways to die than falling through the ice on a lake. Selfish too in my eyes because if they do go through, first responders then have to risk their asses to go save them. But I digress. Tragic event and very sad. Especially for the little boy just out for a rip with his folks. RIP.

If there was ever a year to stay off the ice it would be this year. With all the freeze thaw cycles and consistent warm temps it has to be rotten

The lakes I’ve been on ice fishing the ice is actually really good solid ice. The lack of snow really helps the ice. Most years there’s a few inches of white soft ice. This year nice and solid. But there’s a lack of it.
