I have been hung out to dry, Mirage informed me that they are not prepared to warranty the damage due to the fact that i must have hit a bump in the road. Well they got that right, i did buy purchasing this trailer from Chinook Trailer sales in Lethbridge,ab. It is a 2008 26 ft extreme snow. What a piece of sh&%&&t. It was a good thing that this trailer let me down in the middle of nowhere and not running through rogers pass like we do once a month.

For 11 Grand and no help I'd stick the trailer through the front window of the dealership!

It sucks Chinook should at the least fix/patch the POS back together.

Well after 4 years here is what your Mirage trailer will look like. Called the factory and they will do some thing about it ONLY if i take it back to the factory. Well how far away is that 4-5 days of driving hotels ect. Cheaper to get rid of this trailer and buy a better trailer. Blamed it on not washing it enough. Mentioned if he wanted picts of it and not interested and said i had nothing to gain posting them on the internet??? The problem with it is when you join dissimilar metal like aluminum to steel they BOTH have to be coated or there will be a reaction. Was happy with the trailer and was expecting this in 10+ years not 4. Also the axles are starting to crack where the tortion axle hooks to frame.

I find it extremely disappointing that this customer is so quick to blame faulty material and workmanship, while disreguarding any maintainence responsibilities he may have. It is very clear the corrosion issue is only around the fender box where the majority of road chemicals are distibuted. In addition, the bottom exterior screws and rear cams are discolored, a clear sign of extended salt/chemical contact. (wash your trailer).

This customer's unit is also outside it's warranty period; however, to condemn a mfg. for offering to repair this unit free of charge, no matter how old the unit, providing the unit is repaired at the factory, is perplexing at best.

Sodium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, and Magnesium Chloride

those sound healthy for the trailer

Took the trailer to 2 body shops and both said if you do not prep dissimilar metals properly this will happen. May seem like i am attacking Mirage because it is there trailer. Factory rep mentioned in the last few years they have changed the way they do thing to try to eliminate this problem. So am i going to travel 22hrs 1 way to get it looked at and hopfully repaired properly or take that money and trade it in on a Canadian product aluminum trailer if there are any companies.

I am not trying to black ball any body. Trailer gets washed after each trip and pictures do not lie. Possible the trailer was built on a Friday???

I have a black Interstate, that sits in the field as a job trailer, gets washed about once a year, covered in road salt and mud and still looks new as well...You get what you pay for...

To be very clear, Mirage will address your issues even though the warranty period has expired, if you return it to the factory.
Mirage will also turn the trailer around in one working day so you will not have to wait long.

Too bad the factory is nowhere close to where these people bought their trailers. Will Mirage pay for travel and accomodations as a condition of required warranty?

i still think thats pretty good of them...even though you shouldnt have any issues after 4 years.. snowmobile manufacturers dont fix out sleds after warranty if we take them down to the factory.

I understand that they will do this off warranty. From my stand point am i going to shell out 4-5 days of expensise and week off work to get this done. What i cannot understand to get it fixed up here by a dealer I would gladly pay a fair share. I would also post that and be happy. One option would be get it hauled on a back haul down and delivery back.

Just an update talked to Curtis this am at the factory and ALL problems with the trailer will be adressed with a quick turnaround and possible upgrades. Also mentioned being the distance something can be done for that. So going to bring it down in conjuction with easter. Will post after picts on what gets done.
They are willing to go the extra MILES so far.

Just so everyone knows:
@rsaint has made contact with us and I have assured him that his issues will be handled, even though his unit is outside the warranty. I have confidence that he will be satisfied with the result. Mirage stands behind our product and we look foward to his visit.

Thanks to all,
Curtis Toll
