booked into Dreams for 11 days all inclusive, including flights for $1300 each(about 3 months ago).... 2 weeks after we booked, prices doubled and

What are you guys doing for PCR testing coming back into Canada? From what I gather you don’t need it to fly down to Mexico but you will for re-entry into the country. I’m looking to go end of November

Thats antigen test. Not acceptable for coming home to Canada. Americans are fine with it though.

My sister just told me she has clients that got an NAAT test at Walgreens in US for free and Canada accepts that as well? Have to do some reading up on that tonight

We have friends that apparently did exactly that and came back no problem. You do need to give Walgreens an American address but just use wherever you’re staying.

All resorts are different. $90 is cheap. Most are $160+ and a lot are $250, all in USD. I don't really want to pay $500 CAD extra for 2 tests, so waiting for this requirement to lift.

Airports in Mexico is the cheapest. $94 CAD at PVR for PCR test. Air Canada is also offering at $150 CAD test you do yourself while online with someone to witness with results in 45 mins.

Once the requirements lift expect prices to soar for the hotels/flights…. Enjoy them while they’re cheap.

Dreams will let you stay at their resort, but you must quarantine in your room... No extra charge.

Hmm not sure but apparently they did all this and had no problem getting back in. Maybe the Walgreens test document can be scanned into the app?
My wife is heading down for a little vacay in a couple weeks so I can confirm it’s all legit when she gets back. She’s the guinea pig before we take the whole fam down to the in laws in Feb.
