They are great SUV's. We have 2 friends with them and we test drove a couple and strongly considered trading in our bmw x5 diesel for one. We test drove every diesel suv out there and it was at the top of our list for diesels other than the Porsche cayenne but that was a considerable amount more money. The ml350 seemed to be the best equipped for the price
eveyone has thier stories and opinions.... Mine is that I would only ever own another mercedes vehicle if I purchased it new and I would sell before the warranty ran out. Mercedes benz of Canada are impossible to deal with even with dealer support and when something goes wrong the bill climbs faster than the national debt clock...
That said if you do go mercedes deal with Webber as opposed to David Morris, Webbers service staff is great and Ashley is a looker.
I had a much better experience (service/reliablity) with BMW, even though it was older with much higher mileage.
Our mercedes cost us $9600 in repairs (could have been over $16K, if not for Webber Motors support) from 65K km to 90K km.
I love my bosses CLK 630 AMG but the cost of service & maintenance is brutal...
What Bogger said as far as cost of owner ship units like you speak of.
I would go over all the mandatory services and costs.
Sister had the VW diesel Toragg and loved it but the cost of ownership was crazy .
The 60000 Km service was right out to lunch as for as cost and she pasted it on at 80000 just due to ownership costs.
I used to work at Webber as sales manager. The ML350 is a great vehicle, but be prepared for turbo lag!!! and as mentioned cost of ownership is expensive!! I used many ML350's to two my boat and was surprised at how well they did. And Ashley is super awesome, as is Craig the fixed opps manager. I can put you in touch with the used car manager if you wanted.
