Just put new weights in my pc800 162 with a 20t top gear and a team secondary, I had my weights set up by Eric at racinstation in Idaho. I told him where I ride, which is revelstoke and sicamous, and I weighed them before I put them in just to see what they weighed and that's when I got a little confused. Stock cat weights were 70g, and the mds put in were 77.5g. I noticed that before I messed with any clutching whatsoever, that in a good pull in good powder I was running a little low on rpm, it would only spike over 8000 once in a while and it had trouble holding it. I usually seen about 78-7900. Shouldn't these weights be a bit lighter to get my rpms up??? I may not be thinking correctly but I'm no clutching expert by no means. Just wanted to see who else is running the mds weights in revy and what they were set up as. Any help would be muchly appreciated!!!

Are your weights loaded at the tip or the heel? I'm presuming a change was made to the primary spring, yes? In any case, the MDS weights shift a LOT different then the factory cat weights, and have more heel mass. Profile and shape have a lot to do with clutching - foe example you could use three different types of weights with the same mass, and all three will react differently on the snow. Eric knows his stuff, I suspect you will not be disappointed if you followed ALL of his recommendations.

Ahh ok. Yeah it's loaded at the tip and I put the Polaris 100/340 spring in the primary. I was a little confused at first but it makes sense now. I bought the entire setup from Eric, he's an awesome guy to deal with. It just didn't seem right to me until now. Learn something new everyday I guess! Haha. Thanks for the help!

It works very well. But I'm noticing at higher elevation I'm not pulling enough rpm. Only pulling about 78-7900 still. Gonna take some weight out tonight and try it again tomorrow.
